Obviously due to the Covid 19 situation all Live music had to be cancelled at the G&D, whilst as of August 2020 this has been allowed, but with increased caution and controls, plus even more social distancing and reduced capacity, this is not something we feel that we can reintroduce at the moment. As soon as Covid-19 does on or we all get a vaccine or something we will make a splash, until then we encourage our customers to support local bands online when they can, thank you.
At the George and Dragon, we arrange live music in the Main Bar, as well as outside in our sunny Beer Garden (when the weather permits), on various weekends and Bank Holidays throughout the year - Nothing too late or loud though, as we always respect our ears and our lovely neighbours who are also important customers all year round!
We do NOT have excessively loud music and NO Heavy Metal, Hard rock, House, Rap or anything else that hurts our head, is repetitively annoying and does not appeal to us and a wide range of people. We also always insist that our live music finishes well within the limits of our license to minimize any disturbance.
So – We do very much like and welcome all types of 'Easy Listening' Rock, Blues, Reggae, Jazz, Country and Folk music of an acoustic nature, which has all been well appreciated by our customers without raising the roof and disturbing our neighbours’.
As we are located in a partially residential area, we would appreciate if our customers would also ALWAYS respect our neighbours when leaving the George and Dragon.
