George & Dragon Events

At the George and Dragon we try to participate in and support as many of the Town’s Festivals and other Events around Dartmouth as possible, in addition to regularly arranging our own live music including outside in our garden during the Spring, Summer and Autumn Seasons.

The largest of the Dartmouth Festivals are the Dart Music Festival in early/mid-May, the Dartmouth Royal Regatta in late August, and the Dartmouth Food Festival in late October. Details of the latest events at the George & Dragon are posted on our website, on our Facebook page and on our Instagram page!

These events have become a ‘must-be-done’ for locals and visitors alike, with people coming from all over the UK and even much further afield. Therefore everyone intending to join us for any of these really popular times is strongly advised to arrange their accommodation well in advance and, when you are here, to use Public Transport, the Park and Ride Buses and Taxis throughout the festival periods. The local roads are not the widest and can frequently be grid-locked and nowhere in town left to park, despite the best endeavours of the organisers and the authorities. Book one of our 2x 2 bedroom, luxury self-catering apartments for the events and always be right in the heart of the festivities!

The sensible plan for all of the festivals, is whenever possible to arrive early, the day before is usually ideal, and relax with a refreshing drink and a snack in our garden and watch the world go by setting everything up before the chaos begins?
